On Sunday, we celebrated Xavier's 9th birthday at Carmel Valley skatepark. The day was a huge success. We were able to share Xavier's love of skateboarding with all his friends, play some games, and join in the celebration. Thanks to everyone who came out for our Winter Skate Contest. This contest marked our third skateboard competition of the year and had a turnout of close to 30 competitors. Contestants entered in beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes and had two, 1 minute runs with the best run scored. Overall the event was a success and we plan on holding more contests in 2018.

On Memorial Day, SD Skatelife loaded up the van and headed to LA for a day of skateboarding. From 7am to 7pm, we hit 4 skate parks including Sheldon Skate Plaza, Stoner Skate Plaza, The Santa Monica Courthouse Ledges, and the West Chester Skate Plaza.
